What information should I know about time frames regarding CRNA recognition?
Initial recognition for CRNAs already certified will be valid for 1 or 2 years, depending on the national certification renewal date. Recognition update is valid for a 2 year period. Recognition update notices are sent 60 days prior to expiration of certification. After the form has been processed, the recognition certificate will be mailed. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process.
What happens after I submit my form? You will receive an NCBON CRNA recognition certificate in the mail within 4-6 weeks. If your NCBON CRNA recognition certificate has been lost or misplaced, a duplicate certificate will be issued upon receipt of a letter stating the certificate has been lost or misplaced and a $5 non-refundable administrative charge (payable to NCBON). The letter should include your name, address and social security number.
How is the update of NC CRNA recognition process handled?

To update a current CRNA recognition, your certification must be within 60 days of expiring.
