The Education staff provides resources to nursing education programs and the general public on education regulatory issues.

The North Carolina Board of Nursing establishes the standards for nursing education programs preparing for nursing licensure. These standards are designed to ensure that graduates have the necessary education to safely and competently practice nursing.

2009 Education & Practice Committee 

The Education & Practice Committee meetings for 2009 will focus on the charge of assessing and evaluating LPN practice and education.  The Education & Practice Committee will no longer be reviewing nursing program information.  This information will now be sent directly to the Full Board for decisions.  If you are interested in attending to observe, please let us know.  However, program reviews will no longer be on the agenda.
