IMPORTANT NOTICE

Effective January 1, 2007, the North Carolina Board of Nursing will implement a cardless licensure/listing system. Initial Nurse Aide II listings and renewals issued will be electronic. In accordance with NCAC 36.0403(b)(3) no individual may function as a Nurse Aide II unless the agency confirms with the Board of Nursing that the individual is listed on the Nurse Aide II Registry as a Nurse Aide II.

The Board of Nursing’s electronic database serves as the primary source for listing information for nurse aide IIs. Employers are able to access electronic listing files to verify listing status either online at www.ncbon.com or by using the automated telephone verification system at (919) 881-2272.
