The North Carolina Board of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Effective December 2017, the North Carolina Board of Nursing has shifted summative evaluation of its contact hour online educational offerings from objective to outcome measures for the purpose of all North Carolina Board of Nursing Continuing Education Bulletin articles/offerings listed on the Board of Nursing website.

The objective should be considered in the same context as a program outcome.

  • The purpose of this article is to provide information about commonly reported issues which result in findings of violations of the Nursing Practice Act. This understanding will enhance the nurse's knowledge and facilitate safe practice.

Contact our Practice Department to report issues with viewing the webcast or printing documents. In your message, include your full name and the name of the offering.

After you register, write down your confirmation number.

The registration and evaluation must be completed before you can access and print your Continuing Education certificate.

You must print your certificate immediately following completion of evaluation.
