Compliance Case Analyst

The North Carolina Board of Nursing is seeking a Compliance Case Analyst. Primary responsibilities of this position are to independently monitor a caseload, verifying compliance with consent order terms. This position is responsible for examining, analyzing and interpreting medical, personal and public records to verify compliance and authenticity and provide cogent, effective testimony in contested cases.

Applicants must effectively communicate verbally and in writing within internal case management system and with licensees, employers and attorneys. Must be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent time management skills. Successful applicants must demonstrate attention to detail, strong critical thinking and ability to work within a multi-tasking team with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software.

Education and Experience:

Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in case management. Prior experience in healthcare, legal or government setting, and knowledge of medical/legal terminology preferred.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Fulltime position located in the Board of Nursing’s Raleigh office.

Licensure Specialist

The North Carolina Board of Nursing is seeking applicants for the Licensure Specialist position. The Licensure Specialist is responsible for supporting the licensure and renewal processes for nurses in North Carolina. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of applications, verifies compliance with licensure requirements, and provides excellent customer service to applicants, licensees, and the public.

Applicants must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and professionally with the public in a prompt and efficient manner. Position functions independently; applicants must be able to organize work efficiently; demonstrate attention to details; and work well in a multi-functional team environment. Applicants must possess strong critical thinking, sound judgment and decision-making skills. Position requires proficiency in use of PC; strong word/data processing skills and ability to learn custom software.

Education and Experience:

Position requires an Associate Degree and 2 years of client service, public contact experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience. Prior experience in regulation, health, or government setting preferred.
